Christmas Weekend Food:
(Edited after Christmas--we loved these variations for Christmas breakfast. I'm documenting them here so I don't lose them:)
Breakfast:
Chocolate French Toast Casserole (Used this Overnight French Toast recipe and put semi-sweet chocolate chips sprinkled on the brown sugar both between the bread and on top of the casserole.
Pesto Sausage Roll Ups with Gravy (On Christmas Eve I used Clone of a Cinnabon dough, rolled it out like making cinnamon rolls, but put Pesto, Natural Sausage and Cheddar cheese on top of dough instead of cinnamon and sugar, then rolled up like Cinnamon Rolls. Let rise overnight, covered in the fridge, and then baked them at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes on Christmas morning). Used this Sausage Gravy recipe.
Oven Baked Eggs:
1/4 cup butter
12 eggs
1 tsp fine sea salt
1 1/4 cups milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour melted butter into square 2 L glass baking dish. In a large bowl, whisk together all ingredients. Pour into baking dish. Baked uncovered for 10 minutes, then stir, bake an additional 15-25 minutes, or until eggs are set.
